Practical devotion of the day: the world speaks of God

1. The firmament speaks of God. Contemplate the starry vault of the sky, count the boundless number of stars, see its beauty, its sparkle, its different light; consider the regularity of the moon in its phases; observe the majesty of the sun… In the sky everything walks nor, after so many centuries, did the sun deviate just one millimeter from the path marked for it. Doesn't that show lift your mind to God? Don't you read God's omnipotence in the sky?

2. The earth speaks of the goodness of God. Turn your gaze everywhere, look at the simplest flower as it is admirable as a whole! Observe how every season, every country, every climate shows its fruits, all varied in taste, sweetness, virtues. Aim the kingdom of the sick in many species: one recreates you, the other feeds you, the other serves you docilely. Don't you see the footprint of God, good, provident, lover on all things on earth? Why don't you think about it?

3. Man announces the power of God. Man was called a small world, combining within himself the best beauties scattered in nature. The human eye alone captivates the naturalist who considers its structure; what about the whole mechanism, so precise, so elastic, so responsive to every need of the human body? What about the soul that gives it form, that ennobles it? Whoever reflects, reads, sees, loves God in everything. And you, from the world, are you able to raise yourself up to God?

PRACTICE. - Learn today from everything to raise yourself up to God. Repeat with St. Teresa: For me many things; and I don't love her!
